Celebrating International Women’s History Month

International Women's History Month is a time to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women in all fields, including metrology and cleanliness testing. In this blog post, we highlight some of the pioneering women who have made significant impacts in these industries.

Marie Curie - While she is best known for her groundbreaking research in radioactivity, Marie Curie also made significant contributions to metrology. Her work laid the foundation for modern measurement techniques and standards.

Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin - A Nobel Prize-winning chemist, Hodgkin pioneered the use of X-ray crystallography in determining the structures of important biochemical substances. Her work has been crucial in advancing cleanliness testing methods.

Mildred Dresselhaus - Known as the "queen of carbon science," Dresselhaus made significant contributions to the understanding of carbon materials, which are essential in metrology and cleanliness testing applications.
